“Don’t wait until you’re not scared to do the thing you want to do. Do it scared.” Christy Wright of Business Boutique
As soon as I read this I was like “Aye!” this is speaking to me!!! Does it speak to you?
This saying, like almost everything I post, can be used for any part of your life but for the purposes of this blog I’m using it for those who are building a home based business and are in network marketing.
My choice, network marketing, no matter how many times I read negative bashing about it. People say they lost family and friends and that’s never ever happened to me. They just let me know they don’t want to join, I don’t nag them, but I will bring up my business because it’s something that I Love and they respect that.
At first, the excitement of it helps to go out and tell people about your new found business. You’re all excited and just like anything else, not just network marketing, you will get no’s. Salesmen know this, people who invent or have a great idea and are looking for investors know this, writers looking for a publisher or a magazine to post their stories know this. People looking for jobs know this.
After awhile the no’s get to you and you begin to question if you can really do this. AND that’s when this quote comes in to save us!!!
You can! Anyone can! As long as you can do it scared. Those of us who lose our confidence and start to work up a sweat whenever we think about showing someone our awesome business but do it scared? We’re the ones who make it in network marketing.
You will not convince everyone but the one’s you do, the one’s who see what you see and are aligned with your goals, to work from home, not be limited to the amount of money you can make, have time freedom to spend with children (in my case grandchildren), there’s a bond that forms and strongly too. The reason is we all know what we had to do to be successful in network marketing. We all know how crucial our personal development is. It helps us to grow spiritually.
“Whenever you’re sitting across from some important person, always picture him sitting there in a suit of long red underwear. That’s the way I always operated in business.”
Joseph P. Kennedy
I get scared. I do. And when I do I remember something I read in a book years ago, picture them wearing underwear! I crack up!
So there you have it! Now we have no reason to be scared!
